Segment-Specific Ad Creative Prompt

Prompt

Write ad creative for different audience segments.

Product: [describe]
Platform: [Meta / LinkedIn / Google]

Segments:
1. [Segment]: [who they are and their main pain]
2. [Segment]: [describe]
3. [Segment]: [describe]

For each segment write:
- Primary text/headline speaking to their specific pain
- The benefit framing that matters most to them
- A CTA appropriate for their funnel stage
- One visual concept

Tone: [describe brand voice]

Why it works

Writing to specific pain points per segment rather than generic benefits produces significantly higher CTR — the same product solves different problems for different audiences, and the creative should reflect that. Building the visual direction into the brief prevents misalignment between copy and creative direction at execution. Specifying funnel stage per segment ensures the CTA is appropriate — awareness audiences shouldn't see 'Buy Now.'

Watch out for

The AI needs genuinely distinct audience segments to produce meaningfully different creative — if your segments are too similar, the outputs will converge. Segment definitions like 'small business owners vs. enterprise' are useful; 'active users vs. trial users' are not differentiated enough in pain framing. Review creative for any claims that require substantiation before running as ads.
