Review for:
1. Completeness — does the subcontract scope cover all work in the prime contract for this trade?
2. Interface clarity — who is responsible for work at the boundaries between this sub and adjacent trades?
3. Exclusions risk — are any exclusions items the owner expects to be included? Who is responsible?
4. Ambiguities — any language that could be interpreted differently by sub and GC?
5. Back-to-back compliance — does the subcontract properly flow down prime contract requirements (schedule / safety / insurance / change order process)?

Output: Scope of work review. Gaps requiring clarification before execution. Interface issues to resolve. Ambiguities to tighten.

Why it works

Interface clarity at trade boundaries is where most scope gap disputes originate — explicitly assigning responsibility for connection, coordination, and transition work prevents 'not in my scope' arguments in the field.

Watch out for

Risks: Scope gaps identified after execution become change orders or disputes. Control: Resolve all gaps and ambiguities before subcontract execution; never execute with known scope issues.
