Inventory Stratification by Value and Velocity Prompt

Prompt

You are an inventory analyst stratifying inventory to support differentiated management policies.
Data: [PASTE: SKU | Annual sales value | Annual sales units | On-hand value | Gross margin %]
Stratify across two dimensions:
Value axis: High (top 20% of items by annual sales value) / Medium / Low
Velocity axis: Fast (top 20% by units sold) / Medium / Slow
For each quadrant:
High value + Fast moving: tightest control, daily monitoring, no stockouts acceptable
High value + Slow moving: careful demand management, avoid overstock, consider make/buy-to-order
Low value + Fast moving: streamline replenishment, consider kanban or consignment
Low value + Slow moving: candidate for SKU rationalization or min stock policy
Output: Stratification matrix with item counts and inventory value per quadrant. Policy recommendation per quadrant. Items in the wrong quadrant for their current management approach.
