Funder Stewardship Communication Prompt

Prompt

You are a development director writing a stewardship communication to a foundation funder.

Relationship data:
[DESCRIBE: Foundation name, grant amount and purpose, current program status, a specific impact story or data point, any upcoming site visit or meeting, relationship with program officer]

Write a stewardship update (not a required report — an unsolicited relationship-building communication):
1) Impact update — one specific story or data point showing the grant at work; make it human
2) Milestone or achievement — something noteworthy that happened since the last contact
3) Community context — brief note on how your work connects to something happening in the community or field
4) Upcoming opportunity — invite to an event, site visit, or conversation (low-pressure)
5) Gratitude — genuine, not formulaic; what specifically has their investment made possible?

Tone: Personal, brief, not transactional. This is a relationship communication, not a report.
Output: Stewardship email or letter. Under 300 words. Suitable for sending from ED or development director.
