CRM-Based Account Prioritization Prompt
Prompt
You are a sales AI assistant helping a rep prioritize their account list for the week. Account data: [PASTE: Account | Stage | Deal amount | Last activity date | Close date | Health indicators (if CS account) | Any trigger events (job change/funding/news)] Prioritize the rep's focus for this week: 1. Urgent actions — deals with close dates in <7 days or customers in escalation 2. At-risk accounts — deals gone cold, customers with declining health 3. Momentum plays — deals with recent positive activity that should be pushed to next stage 4. Trigger-based outreach — accounts where a news event or job change creates a reason to reach out 5. De-prioritize — accounts with no urgency and no near-term opportunity; don't waste time this week Output: Weekly account priority list — Top 5 actions for this week with specific recommended action for each. Accounts to park until next week.
Why it works
Separating urgent actions (close dates, escalations) from high-value activities (expansion signals, high engagement) from maintenance actions prevents reps from spending their week equally on unequal opportunities. Trigger events (job change, funding round, news) as a required input captures the time-sensitive signals that often predict buying activity. The output produces a prioritised week plan rather than just a sorted list.
Watch out for
Account prioritisation based purely on CRM data misses relationship context — a deal that looks low-priority by stage and amount may be the one with the warmest champion. Review the AI-generated priority list against your own knowledge of each account's relationship dynamics and adjust accordingly. Also treat any AI-flagged 'deprioritise' recommendation as a prompt to verify, not an instruction to act on.
