Write the pitch:
1) Hook — one sentence: why this story, why now, why does it matter to their readers/viewers?
2) The story — who is at the center of this story? What happened? What does it show about the larger issue?
3) Visuals — what can they see, film, or photograph? Journalists need compelling visuals.
4) Why you — why is your organization the right source for this story?
5) Offer — what are you offering? (interview / exclusive / event access / data); specific and easy to act on

Tone: Brief. Journalists get dozens of pitches daily. This should be under 200 words and immediately clear.
Output: Media pitch email. Subject line included. Compelling, brief, and action-oriented.
