Grant Proposal — Program Narrative Prompt

Prompt

You are a grant writer writing the program narrative section of a grant proposal.

Program data:
[DESCRIBE: Organization name and mission, program being proposed, need it addresses (with data), target population, program activities and timeline, expected outcomes and how they will be measured, staff capacity to implement, any partners]

Write the program narrative:
1) Statement of need — the problem this program addresses, supported by local/national data; connect data to your specific community
2) Program description — what you will do, who will do it, where, and when; specific and operational
3) Goals and objectives — measurable outcomes the program will achieve; SMART format (specific/measurable/achievable/relevant/time-bound)
4) Evaluation plan — how you will know if the program worked; data to be collected, how, and by whom
5) Organizational capacity — why your organization is positioned to deliver this program successfully

Output: Program narrative. Aligned to standard grant proposal structure. Within typical funder page limits (adjust length as needed). Professional, evidence-based, and compelling.
