Dimensional Weight Analysis Prompt

Prompt

You are a logistics analyst reviewing the impact of dimensional weight pricing on shipping costs.

Shipment data:
[PASTE: Order type/product category | Average box dimensions (L × W × H inches) | Average actual weight (lbs) | Carrier | DIM factor (typically 139 for domestic parcel)]

For each shipment profile:
1) Actual weight (lbs)
2) DIM weight = (L × W × H) ÷ DIM factor
3) Billable weight = higher of actual or DIM weight
4) Cost difference — if DIM weight > actual weight, you're paying for air. How much extra per shipment?
5) Box right-sizing opportunity — if DIM weight exceeds actual by >20%, smaller box reduces billable weight

Output: DIM weight analysis by product/box type. Annual cost of over-boxing. Top 5 box sizes to resize. Estimated annual savings from right-sizing.
